  • Pandora The Year Ahead
    2007 was a fantastic year for Pandora UK. Over the course of the year we cemented our rightful place in the UK jewellery market. Pandora’s introduction into the UK has been methodical & planned and we truly believe each one of our retailers throughout the UK adds something special to the Pandora organisation.

    Pandora is a product with boundless potential as well as choice. These factors, coupled with our unprecedented quality in our products, have helped make 2007 a year of growth and progression for Pandora.

    Throughout 2007, Pandora has continued to flourish and consumers are gaining greater knowledge of our name , products and unique story as Pandora through the actions of our retailers gains more exposure and momentum.

    Despite this success, 2008 will be yet another crucial year for Pandora UK. However we are highly confident that we have the infrastructure and systems in place to continue with our smooth transition into the UK market. We wish to gain greater exposure for the Pandora brand. We wish to increase the number of Pandora retailers who employ the use of shop in shop fits and we want to continue to target Pandora direct to the high street by encouraging the continued introduction of stand alone Pandora concept stores.

    Pandora UK has a strong desire to improve our approach to retailing our products, we wish to greater serve our customers and we seek continuous improvement in our operations throughout 2008.



  • Charming new products
    Pandora is set to release yet more new exciting and inspirational products in our spring 2008 collection. All our products are designed with love, unsurpassed craftsmanship and passion as they are created to capture and lock unforgettable moments in time. Each charm and bead resembles and signifies a special moment, a moment in life where a memory is encapsulated and held personally sentimental to the individual holder of the Pandora bracelet, to be cherished forever.



  • Pandora & OK! Magazine
    Pandora UK is dedicated to raising its profile throughout the United Kingdom. We have attended various exhibitions, awards nights, fashion shows, jewellery fairs and we have featured in many magazine adverts as well as publications.

    However our most acclaimed, single advertisements to date have been our features in the world renowned OK Magazine.

    This was a monumental opportunity for privileged retailers to be involved in this advertisement and the feature produced its intended result of raising the profile of Pandora and its retailers. The advert was also timed perfectly for the run up to Christmas when consumer system would be at its peak.

    OK Magazine has a current readership of 2.5 million followers and was voted best celebrity magazine. OK Magazine is sold extensively throughout the UK and its dedicated readership suits the demographic profile of a typical Pandora customer.

    Throughout 2008 Pandora UK plans to continue to raise its profile and increase our image by continuing to be featured in key mainstream magazines and publications. We need to keep Pandora’s name prominent in the market place and media’s such as the OK Magazine are an excellent method of achieving this.



  • Pandora The New Direction
    From the 1st March Pandora as a global group plans to take a new direction. Pandora wants one face around the world to unite all Pandora retailing countries to have a singular identity. As part of this Pandora Jewellery wishes to change its name to simply Pandora. The issue is that there are so many variations of the spelling of the word jewellery around the world (jewellery, jewelry, jewlry, jewlery etc.) that in order to achieve this unanimous face the creators of Pandora jewellery have decided simply to refer to the product as Pandora.

    With this change in name, Pandora plans to release all new point of sale materials to commemorate and signify the new proposed direction of the brand. The new POS will include the new name, be designed to the highest specifications of quality and brand the organisation to a level which is higher than Pandora has ever attained before.

    Pandora will also be providing free POS to our retailers. This will enable superior packaging, advertising and a greater retail experience for the customer will be achieved. This will help add that extra ‘special something’ to the Pandora products purchased by our customers. The new POS signifies the change from Pandora acting on a national basis to a global basis.

    On 1st March you will be free to start using the new Pandora Logo



  • Pandora Parades Perfect Window Displays
    In honour of all the fabulous Pandora window displays throughout the UK, Pandora has operated a window display of the year competition.

    Well presented window displays are instrumental in promoting Pandora and they take considerable love, devotion, care and attention to keep them in such pristine condition to enable them to have the maximum impact in promoting the brand, elevating our image, keeping us prominent in the market place, encouraging footfall as well as helping to facilitate sales of Pandora.

    Pandora UK agents have out forward the names of the candidates who have approached them believing they have the best window display in their area and Pandora UK has jointly chosen a winner. That winner is at the located at. This window display is especially commendable to retailing Pandora as our product is cleverly laid out, it is the focal point of the window, the display promotes our name and it is well presented with grace and elegance. As the overall winner, Mrs receives an all expenses paid meal for two at.

  • Growth in Shop in Shop
    Throughout 2007 we have experienced a rise in the number of retailers wishing to undertake a Pandora shop fit. The shop in shop is a clearly defined space in a store which is dedicated to Pandora. The shop in shop is comprised of Pandora fittings and displays.

    In today’s competitive environment it is increasingly important for global companies to have a face around the world. Pandora’s retail concept is to effectively brand Pandora through a set of guidelines which will uniformly create all Pandora products and shop in shop processes to be the same around the world.

    In 2008 we envisage more and more of our retailers opting to brand a section of their store to exclusively retail Pandora. The shop in shop scheme provides a contemporary, branded and structured space to retail Pandora. These beautiful shop fits can help to complement the profile of your existing store and provide a platform for raising the awareness of Pandora in your store.



  • Pandora Training Days
    Pandora UK believes a crucial aspect to successfully retailing Pandora is the retailer’s ability to champion, demonstrate and showcase our products. Without skilled and expert sales assistants our unique concept and fabulous product could never be emblazed to the customer to the extent that we would like.

    Therefore in conjunction with this Pandora UK would like to hold an open Pandora training day held at our head quarters, arranged for everyone’s convenience. This day will be an ideal opportunity for us to further demonstrate and explain the Pandora concept in superior detail, thus providing you with the tools to greater retail Pandora. The day will also incorporate a Questions & Answers session allowing you the retailer to gain any knowledge or insight regarding the sale of Pandora which may be specific to you. This would also be an excellent opportunity for you to put faces to names with regards to our in-house team, thus helping to strengthen rapport.

    Pandora will provide food and refreshment to all those who wish to attend the day long event.



  • Shop Assistant of the Year Award
    Mandy was the winner of Pandora UK’s shop assistant of the year award 2007. Mandy works for Moore & Scrupps located in Sleaford. Mandy has won the award as she displayed exceptional commitment, scope of knowledge and down right grit and determination to help Pandora succeed in her store

    For this great achievement Mandy has received an all expenses paid holiday.

    Once again Pandora UK thanks Mandy for her hard work, unsurpassed support for Pandora and for her dedication to the cause. Without the support of such remarkable and marvellous shop assistants throughout the country, Pandora would never have achieved the heights it has in the UK. Credit goes to all exceptional candidates that entered this competition, we had over 25 entries and it was extremely difficult to choose a winner.

    Thank you very much to all shop assistants throughout the UK who contributes so much to ensuring our continued success. Pandora UK greatly acknowledges the pivotal and vital role shop assistants provide in helping to retail our brand, champion our products and we rightfully acknowledge that they are also instrumental in educating customers regarding the Pandora concept.



  • Competition Winners
    To commemorate Pandora’s 25th Anniversary last September Pandora UK ran a competition at International Jewellery London (IJL) posing a question to be answered. Joyce Field of Buckingham got the question correct and she has won a Pandora bracelet.

    Mrs Joyce Field states that she is delighted to have won the bracelet stating :
    “Pandora is a really lovely product. I had seen Pandora in a magazine ad. I was thinking it was really nice so I went on to the Pandora website to look at the range. While on the website I decided to enter the competition. I am thrilled I have won and I plan to buy more Pandora to update and add to my bracelet.”

    Last years IJL was an unprecedented success for Pandora UK, we occupied the biggest stand at the key jewellery exhibition and it helped announce our growth in the jewellery market.

    Claire Hopkins won the recent competition in January, she said :

  • Pandora’s First Concept Store Leads us to........ Leeds
    Pandora has implemented the first stand alone concept store in the UK at the Queens Arcade, Leeds, West Yorkshire.

    This store marks our introduction to the high street allowing our profile to be continued to be raised. We are now targeting ourselves increasingly closer to the end consumer than ever before.

    UK Pandora concept stores are critical to the wider Pandora group, in order to fulfil our joint quest for globalisation. Pandora over the years has grown from a label into a brand and so it is important that Pandora is prominent and can be seen by our customers in the UK market place. The concept stores mark and commemorate our successes and these stores further demonstrate our strength against our UK competitors as well as signifying our commitment to the UK market place.

    We would like to take this opportunity to thank the Whittaker family for displaying the strength, foresight and courage in Pandora to open the first Pandora concept store throughout the country, in Leeds; we are sure that your faith will be well rewarded.

    Throughout 2008 we will continue to open Pandora concept stores wherever it is commercially viable and right for the brand to do. Pandora UK wants Pandora to be a major recognised player in the commercial market place and we want to be a known high street brand; this is critical to extending the lifecycle of our products.

In the last year alone Pandora UK grew by a staggering 454%.     Pandora is again attending IJL and showing our support for the biggest & most renowned jewellery exhibition found anywhere in the UK.

    It is Pandora’s mission to make Pandora the largest and best supplier of jewellery found anywhere throughout the UK. In conjunction with this, Pandora is constantly moving forward and so we see IJL as a key exhibition to promote and highlight our success.

    We believe IJL can help develop our networking potential and we hope in return this will lead to further sales of Pandora, as we use IJL to advertise and showcase our brand.

    We also use our knowledgeable Pandora agents and brilliant in-house team to display & promote the Pandora range at the exhibition. This helps satisfy any queries potential customers may have surrounding the brand. IJL is always a great success for Pandora and so in return we pledge our support to IJL by attending the exhibition every year.



  • Pandora is moving to new premises
    Pandora is on the move. Pandora is relocating to brand new purpose built offices with 8500 sq. ft. of office space spread over two floors located in the North East. This move is due to the massive increase in the sales of Pandora Jewellery. The new office will provide the perfect platform to allow Pandora to continue to grow.

    Pandora’s General Manager, Julie Davis, says: “Pandora is moving forward. We are now in our third and last premises. This move will allow us to take Pandora to the next level”.

    The offices create an excellent working environment for Pandora employees as they contain fully equipped gym facilities. This provides the perfect combination of work and relaxation for Pandora’s employees. These contemporary offices are crucial to our long term future and we have decided to name the building Pandora house.

  • How to form your Pandora bracelet
    All Pandora jewellery pieces are hand crafted with love and care. Pandora jewellery begins with a blank bracelet/chain. These come in 14k gold, sterling silver and oxidized forms. Next, you choose from a wide range of beads, gemstones, spacers and clips to add to your Pandora bracelet/chain. This enables you to personally customise your piece and partake in this unrivalled experience.

    Pandora bracelets are divided into three sections so that the beads can be distributed evenly due to the unique patented threading system. Once a bead has been passed over the end, the bead can be positioned in either section by moving the bead separator.   • Pandora Retail Concept
    In today’s competitive environment it is increasingly important for global companies to have one face around the world. Pandora’s retail concept is to effectively brand Pandora through a set of guidelines which will uniformly create all Pandora products and Shop in Shop support processes to be the same around the world.

    Pandora’s retail concept has five formats from branded Pandora Shops (Shop in Shop and Concept Stores) to multi brand Jewellery retailers (White, Silver and Gold).

    Pandora Shop in Shop: The Shop in Shop is a clearly defined space in a shop or department store which is dedicated to Pandora. The Shop in Shop has Pandora fittings and displays. It also carries a wide assortment of Pandora products (at least 85% of the design line). The shop in shop will typically look very much like the Concept shop on the inside (except smaller) typically without the Pandora branded shop front.

    Pandora Concept Shop: The concept shop is essentially a Pandora branded jewellery shop. Concept shops carry the full assortment of Pandora products. The concept shop has a branded Pandora store front including a shop front sign with contemporary Pandora displays. Concept shops have the opportunity to be authorised Pandora Online retailers.

    White Partner:White partners are those multi brand retailers that carry a limited assortment of at least one design range (at least 50% of it). White partners do not significantly contribute to profiling Pandora in the shop. White Partners are required to have basic Pandora displays in the shop, but are not required to have Pandora fittings - white partners receive the basic level of support from Pandora.

    Silver Partner:Silver partners are multi brand retailers which carry a medium assortment of one Pandora design line as a minimum (at least 75%). Silver partners also have Pandora branded fittings in the shop, but to a lesser extent than a gold partner. Silver partners receive a wide range of benefits from Pandora.

    Gold Partner:Gold Partners are much like multi brand retailers with a strong Pandora profile. Gold Partners carry a large assortment of all Pandora design lines (at least 75%). Gold partners have a dedicated store space and are equipped with Pandora fittings and displays. Gold partners receive many of the same benefits as branded shops.



  • The North East Leads the way in Pandora Sales
    Since its emergence in 2005, Pandora UK has quickly developed a stronghold in the Northeast of England. Pandora UK is achieving fantastic sales in the region and there exists a real excitement surrounding the product in the Northeast. As testament to this, seven out of the top ten Pandora retailing customers across the whole country can be found in the Northeast.

    The success in the Northeast has arisen as these retailers strongly champion the brand and they make good investment in their stock. Pandora is founded on the concept of choice and so that is what our Northeast retailers aspire to provide the customer. Our customers reiterate, when ordering, it is important to not only order stock that you have sold out of but also to order something you have not had in stock before. These high performing customers keep healthy stocks of each bead and they also alternate the bead trays to display different types and combinations of beads. They also make up different variations of bracelets to allow the customer to visualise the bracelets in their final form and as a consequence of this they may immediately want to purchase a particular design. It is about providing the customer excellent choice. It is about keeping the product new, exciting and fresh for the consumer, via delivering them a wide choice of innovative products and allowing them access to the full range.

    In store, these retailers are putting the systems in place to provide Pandora the very best platform to trade from. All sales employees have very good knowledge of Pandora regarding creating a bracelet and once again they have developed a keen insight into all the beads, whether current, new or planned. These stores realise the importance of training new staff regarding the Pandora concept and how to formulate the bracelet. The sales people also wear Pandora which we feel is an important part of promoting Pandora in store. All the top performing Northeast stores have a good level of window presence for Pandora and they provide good floor space inside the store. This enables the Pandora name to be prominent in the store and it allows regular as well as potential customers to have easy access to the Pandora range, not to mention as well as displaying the kind of image Pandora UK wishes to seek.

    The main essence of the success is trying to create that initial buzz factor in your area, as when the customer discovers Pandora her universal charm, quality and unique appeal helps draw them back time and time again.

    The stores also use point of sale where possible to deliver the full retail experience to the customer. This provides high quality after sale services for the customer and adds the finishing touches to purchasing such elegant products.

    Northeast retailers really get behind and support the brand. They provide high levels of support and display commitment towards the brand. They attend local trade shows, as well as events promoting Pandora and they also run excellent local advertising in the form of radio and print format.



  • Pandora donates all profits from the Breast Cancer Bead to Charity
    Pandora UK believes in supporting worthy causes and there are none more so than Breast Cancer Care. In conjunction with this, Pandora retails special breast cancer beads in our range.

    With the sale of those beads, Pandora UK plans to donate all the profits made from these beads to the registered breast cancer charity. As our range is dedicated to inspirational women, we believe this charity embodies those who buy our products as the charity is founded upon inspirational people, whom display strength and courage in the face of life’s adversities.

    The breast cancer care charity certainly represents these most admirable qualities as these people work tirelessly to provide a better quality of life for others as well as helping to reduce the numbers of women suffering from breast cancer.
